Mitchell Starkman

Registered Physiotherapist

Mitch holds a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Queens University, in addition to an Honours Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University. He couples his expertise in human physiology with a Certificate in Sport Administration from York University. Mitchell’s philosophy to physiotherapy spans further than the typical injury mentality. Given his passion for integrative practice, Mitchell’s goal is to understand how the site of pain is impacted by the entire body - rather than pinpointing a specific disturbance. With this perspective, he strives to optimize movement to help clients attain relief on a whole body level and fulfill their performance goals. Mitchell uses activity specific strengthening exercises, acupuncture and dry needling, alongside manual therapy techniques, to ensure clients are able to reach their optimal performance ambitions.
