Derek focuses his treatment on patient centered care, and uses exercises prescription, manual therapy, and soft tissue techniques to help each patient get better. He is proactive in building his skills to improve patient outcomes and is taking further courses in manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and acupuncture. He has a particular interest in treating low back injuries, concussion, and hands.
Derek is a graduate from Queen’s University’s Physical Therapy program. He also has a Master’s of Health and Rehabilitation Science from Western University, where he completed research publications on carpal tunnel syndrome. Outside the clinic, Derek enjoys reading new research articles, working out at the gym, spending time with family, and volunteering at church.
