Cristina holds her Master’s of Physiotherapy Degree from McGill University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology, specializing in Fitness Assessments and Exercise Counseling from York University. Cristina believes the key to a successful and sustainable recovery stems from a patient centered care model and strives to inspire all her patients to become more active, healthy and happy. Cristina has a special interest in treating patients of performing arts background, with previous experience treating circus performers at École Nationale De Cirque (Montreal, Quebec). Furthermore, she has both international and national experience treating athletes of various sport related injuries in Europe and Canada. Using a treatment philosophy that combines manual therapy, myofascial release techniques and specific exercise prescription while drawing on her own experience with managing injuries, Cristina is able to provide comprehensive and holistic care for her patients. She is dedicated to her own professional development and plans to take future courses in acupuncture, and other manual therapies to keep up to date with the latest treatment techniques.
On her off time, Cristina enjoys training in gymnastics, keeping active and enjoying nature. Currently, she also practices circus arts, specifically aerial silks, and enjoys collaborating with the Ontario community of performing artists in creating community based performances.
