Fascial Stretch Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist
Alex has been involved in the health and fitness industry since 2002. He began instructing martial arts before starting his career as a personal trainer with Goodlife Fitness Clubs. Since then, Alex has gone on to complete a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Kinesiology from the University of Guelph as well as a Diploma in Massage Therapy from Sutherland-Chan. Currently, Alex continues his pursuit of life-long learning by studying Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy.
Alex currently practices integrated neuromyofascial therapies, utilizing a combination of fascial stretch therapy, sport massage and osteopathic manual techniques in conjunction with functional movement training in order to help rehabilitate and optimize physical performance. Alex’s philosophy is that the human body is a dynamic unit of interrelated structure and function that has the capacity to regulate and heal itself when afforded the opportunity.
When he’s not helping people move better, Alex enjoys training both physically and mentally. He currently practices Chi Gong, the Wim Hof Method, and the traditional martial arts of Wing Chun Kung Fu and Sayoc Kali.
