Downtown Toronto is where everything happens, and so we are glad to be in the midst of this bustling area. The downtown core is divided into a number of districts, such as the Financial District, Yorkville, and St. Lawrence. The core shopping areas are located along Yonge Street, also home to the Eaton Centre, the Dundas Public Square and Nathan Phillip Square where you can watch live performances during night and day.
The downtown core is roughly bordered by Bloor Street to the north, Lake Ontario to the south, the Don River to the east, and Bathurst street to the west. The major landmarks are the cluster of skyscrapers in the downtown core and Union Station. The CN Tower is easily visible as you approach the downtown core on the 401. The area has been the site of major construction and was recently host to the 2015 Pan American Games in which hundreds of athletes competed on the stage. These athletes may have returned home, but we are still here and ready to serve!
Athletic Edge Sports Medicine provides a range of sports medicine and physiotherapeutic services such as physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic treatment, and acupuncture. Our approach to medical treatment is holistic, and embraces both the latest cutting edge technology as well as traditional, time tested medicine. Our facilities are equipped with the latest tools to ensure that you can achieve your athletic goals. In addition to services, we also offer treatment products such as braces and orthotics.
We have highly trained staff on hand to help you find the best solution to your specific challenges. They include: sports medicine physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, sports psychologists, naturopathic doctors, and massage therapists.
We also have special programs for professionals involved in the performing arts, as we know that this occupation carries specific risks when performing on stage. Our qualified physicians can help you get back on stage quickly and safely. Some of the high profile clientele we have served include the cast of Legally Blonde, Queen of the Desert; Bring it On and the Book of Mormon.
Whether you are a stage performer, athlete, or someone who lives an active lifestyle, we have therapeutic as well as preventative treatments that can keep you in shape or protect you from suffering injuries that can have an adverse effect on your career.
