Dr. Kate Hays practises sport psychology, performance psychology, and clinical psychology in Toronto with Athletic Edge Sports Medicine. A registered psychologist in Ontario, Dr. Hays is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) and a Fellow and Certified Consultant, Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). As an independent scholar, she has authored five books and is a frequent lecturer throughout North America regarding sport and performance psychology. She founded and co-directs the Psyching Team for the Toronto Marathon.
At AESM, Dr. Hays offers mental skills training for optimal performance to athletes, performing artists, and business leaders, whether amateur, elite, or professional. She also is available to provide counselling or psychotherapy for people experiencing stress or other emotional or psychological concerns.
A Past-President of the Division of Exercise & Sport Psychology of APA, Dr. Hays maintains governance responsibilities within that organization as well as AASP.
