Restorative yoga (employing props) also adds to the yoga therapy experience.

Physical postures (asanas) promote balance of strength and elasticity in the muscles, healthy range of motion in the joints, and restore symmetry and alignment. Breathing techniques (pranayama) oxygenate muscle tissue and massage organs, promote awareness and are used to energize or relax our nervous system as required. Awareness of breath and body sets the stage for concentration and meditation.
